1. Corner of Derg Hill and Spine road
Creation of Signage: “Welcome to Cullenagh.”
Clearing and removal of dumped garden and construction waste from public right of way from end of Lakeview (Upper) to footpath joining Lakeside and Lakeview (Lower).
Completion of short length of verge on the east side of Lakelands. Involves supply and spreading of topsoil and seeding.
4. Additional Planting on Spine Road
Enhance existing planting on spine Road in collaboration with residents who already maintain these areas.Focus will be on :
Area to south of Spine Road prior to entrance to Fern Hill
Bank on corner of Spine Road and LakeView (Lower)
Planting of specimen trees on existing verges. For example: Spine Road and Lakelands.
6. Pedestrian link to Marine Village
Working with Council, create pedestrian access between Lakeview (Lower) and Marine Village. The Council have costed this project at €90,000. There are grants available to cover 90% of costs. However, Council support is dependent on clear public support from residents of both Cullenagh and Marine Village. This is a challenging project. It will not be progressed without further public consultation.
7. LakeView (Lower), Sli Rohan, LakeView Heights.
8. End of Spine Road by Lake
Stripping of furze bushes and brambles from verges adjacent to development sites to create a rough 3m verge and prevent encroachment of vegetation on footpaths. Will be achieved using a tractor and flail mower during months of November-March as required by government regulations. The will need to be repeated annually
Placing of three planter tubs to prevent vehicular access onto the gravel extension of the spine road. The intention is to discourage dumping.
